She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Morrill Elkins and Mabel Caroline Nelson; her sons, Stevan and Gilbert Yazzie; her grandchildren, Amber and Jacob; and her great grandchild Jessica.

She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Kuehl; her children, Richard B (Sherry), Eric B (Beth), Carol A Nelson (Jerry), Jewel Martin (Stan), Brian (Kathy) and Marilyn Richards (Thom); and her daughters-in-law, Terri, Christian (Terry) and Deborah Finch (Jeff).

Viewing was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kearns North Stake Center (4260 W 5215 S, Kearns, UT 84118).
