He was predeceased by: his parents, John Giles and Phyllis Giles; and his brother Steve Giles. He is survived by: his spouse Afton Giles; his children, Ronda Crook (Clint), Jewel Gurule, Lee Giles, Amy Bagley, Becky Giles, Timmy Giles (Brandy) and Stacy Giles; his brother DeVar Giles (Cheese); and also Joyce Coleman. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
