He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Wertz and Marian Anderson; and his grandson Logan Bowles. He is survived by: his sister Diane Drais (Debra Wertz); and his children, Rebecca Hull (Lynn), Callista Briggs, Heidi Miller (Andy), Chad W. Bowles II (Tracee), Derek Bowles (Cariane), Britten Lamb (Shawn), Stacy Averett (Chad), Jeremy Bowles (Nichole), Mitch Bowles (Heather) and Drew Bowles (Kristi). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
As numerous people came to see Rod, it was amazing how many of them would talk to him about his kindness, charity, and sweetness.
