With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynn D. Thorne of Syracuse, Utah, who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his former wife Ruth Ann; his daughter Lynda; his granddaughters, Lisa Marie Eames and Anna Ruth Thorne; and his brother Rick Thorne.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Tammy Heslop (Travis) of Syracuse, Vicki Hill (Brock) of Syracuse Utah, Scott Thorne (Shelly) of Syracuse, Ryan Thorne (Andra) of Clearfield, Kristie Taylor (Wayne) of Syracuse Utah and Steven Thorne (Natalie) of Clinton; his stepchildren, Michael Miller (Brenda), Scott Miller, Kelly McLain (Nathan), Brad Miller (Marlene) and Matt Miller; his brothers, Larry Thorne and Dennis Thorne; and his caregiver Melanie. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren (with one on the way), 12 Step Children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Syracuse Utah Chapel (1625 S 1100 W, Syracuse, UT 84075).
