He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvador Cardenas Sr. and Maria Fiorenza Esquivel; and his wife Barbara Ann Molchan Cardenas. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Cardenas (Deann) of Springville Utah and Salvador Cardenas (Vickie) of Stahlstown Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Brittany Mildon (Wayne) of Clyde, NC, Kristen Brown (Connor) of Orem, UT and Samuel "Augie" Cardenas of Somerset; and his great grandchildren, Asher and Rowan Mildon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mt. St. Peter food bank.
