He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Bird; his brother Ron Bird; and his father Russen V. Bird. He is survived by: his wife Susan Moffitt Bird; his children, Curtis Bird (Jeanette), Kristina Bird Lewis (John), Russen R. Bird (Casey), Cindy Bird Vance (Glenn), Carlene Bird Carlson (Jimmy), Spencer Bird (Dayna), David Bird (Cate) and Diana Bird Reese (Robert); and his siblings, Marva Landers, Carole Oldroyd and Steve Bird. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
