He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma Sessions Haymond and Howard Roland Haymond; and his brother Roger Haymond. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Haymond; his siblings, Carl Haymond (Arlene) and Linda Bailie (Robert); his children, Darrin Haymond (Jenn), Jennifer Eldredge (Phil), Marc Haymond (Meredith) and Bryan Haymond (Jessy); his grandchildren, Alexis, Brandon, Chase, Anna, Madison, Marshall, Allyssa, Elizabeth, Brevan, Sadie, Carson, Cami, Tyler, Kenadie, Katherine and Cade; and his great grandchildren, Navi, Archer, Thea, Easton, Charlie, Jane, Eldon, Lettie, Lily and Sara.

In accordance with his desire to further the research of ulcerative colitis and cancer, Robert chose to donate his body to the University of Utah Body Donor Program.
