He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Johnson and Madge Johnson; his wife Marilyn Johnson (Zobell); and his brothers, Gary Johnson and Stephen Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Dean Johnson, Wendy Elder, Darren Johnson and Blake Johnson; his siblings, Maureen Hurst, Kent Johnson and Clifford Johnson; and his father-in-law Ben Zobell.
