He is survived by: his siblings, Dixie Koontz (Jerry), Clair (Mary Ann) and Jay (Carolyn); his brother-in-law Cole Warner; his caregivers, Shannon Harmer, Tawny Ellett and Amanda; and also Mark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mark held the office of Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed home church during the Covid epidemic where he could perform his Priesthood responsibilities.
