She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Blackburn Pitts and George Franklin Teel; her siblings, Daryl, Jessie and Billie Ruth; and her stepsiblings, Mary, Beatrice, Clancy and Everett.

She is survived by: her husband E. Jay Snapp; and her children, Traci, Michael (Kimie) and Marci (Paul). She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
