He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Lucy Metcalf Zawodniak; his parents, Helen Madalene Ostrowski Zawodniak and John Walter Zawodniak Sr; his brother Leonard Anthony Zawodniak; and his stepson Danny Ray Adams.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ann Murphy of Hermitage and Raymond Joseph Zawodniak of Smithton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
After a time there, they met W. Cleon Skousen on a trip to the Holy Land, and were offered a position with his Freemen Foundation in Utah, the state they adopted and lived in and loved until passing.
