He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Abner Peterson and Maryann Petrea Olsen Peterson; his wife Millie Rose Tamietti; and his son Gary Peterson (Elizabeth). He is survived by: his children, Janet Johnson (Greg), Dalene Peterson and Tad Peterson (Amy); and his grandchildren, Dustin Peterson (Kristel), Maranda Stradling (Brandon), Deven Johnson (Kellie), Katie Clark (Matt), Derek Peterson (Sadie), Blake Johnson (Megan), Travis Peterson (McKayla), Shelbie Peterson, Braden Peterson (Ashley) and Carmen Billings (Corban). He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the LDS Chapel (355 E Center St, Springville, UT 84663).
