He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Scott Barton and Elizabeth Thurman Smith; his spouse LaDawn Hepworth Smith; his children, Daven Smith, Dan Smith (Carrie), Darren Smith (Kristi) and Drew Smith (Yung Fang); his siblings, Tom Smith, Margo Mackay, Bard Smith and Lasca Killian; his daughter-in-law Susan; and his son DeShawn Smith. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
