Merrill Ray Carter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merrill Ray Carter of Spanish Fork, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merrill Ray Carter to pay them a last tribute.
Though Merrill Ray may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Merrill Ray touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Carter and Edith Wilson Carter; his brother-in-law Don Thorpe; and his great grandchild Miren Carter. He is survived by: his significant other Janice Tuckett; his children, Jeff Carter (Cynthia), Diane Tew (Grant), Linda Holz, Judy Ayles (Dwight) and Paula Gleave (Cole); and his sister Sherrel Thorpe. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (452 West 550 South, Spanish Fork, UT 84660).
