As Merlene Grotegut departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Merlene Grotegut. Though Merlene Grotegut may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Grotegut and Thea Maybel Bale; and her husband Blair Hamilton. She is survived by: her daughters, Deanne Wallace, Kathleen Johnson Sims, Melanie Bowen and Alyson Brook; and her sister Jeanne Shell of Centerville, Utah.. She is also survived by her four daughters, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Spanish Fork 12th Ward (310 E Center St, Spanish Fork, UT 84660).
