In loving memory of Marvin LeRoy Blackburn of Spanish Fork, Utah, who departed this world on January 13, 2025 at the age of 82. Marvin LeRoy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Blackburn and Elsie Blackburn; and his sons, Kent Blackburn and Rodney Leroy Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lu Ewell; his daughters, Vivian Mitchell, Lori Gabbitas (Jim), Christina Bicknell (John) and Patricia Woodard (Brian); his sister-in-law Janiel Jensen; and his siblings, Delbert, Clyde, Dean, Jack, Gary, Joe, Wanda and Shirley. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 1 grand fur baby.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1552 E 750 S, Spanish Fork, UT 84660).
Marvin's exceptional contributions to Scouting were recognized with several prestigious honors, including the Wood Badge and the Silver Beaver, awards that reflect his outstanding leadership, dedication, and service to the Scouting community.
