He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Blackburn and Elsie Blackburn; and his sons, Kent Blackburn and Rodney Leroy Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lu Ewell; his daughters, Vivian Mitchell, Lori Gabbitas (Jim), Christina Bicknell (John) and Patricia Woodard (Brian); his sister-in-law Janiel Jensen; and his siblings, Delbert, Clyde, Dean, Jack, Gary, Joe, Wanda and Shirley. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 1 grand fur baby.
Marvin's exceptional contributions to Scouting were recognized with several prestigious honors, including the Wood Badge and the Silver Beaver, awards that reflect his outstanding leadership, dedication, and service to the Scouting community.
