She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd LeRoy and Ruth Merriel Burnham Pierce; her husband William "Skip" Benincosa Jr.; and her siblings, Billie Ruth Pierce and James LeRoy Pierce (Leslie).
She is survived by: her children, Bill (Nancy), Paul (Rachel), Tom (Kathleen), Adam (Cami), Ryan (Alistair), Amy Gilson (Timothy), Neil and Nathan; and her siblings, Jonathon Pierce (Sue) and Robin Harris (Ryan). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
