He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Mariah Waldroup (Jeanne Harrop); his brother Glen Polson (Barbara); and his parents, Bessie P. Mulligan and Erick O. Polson. He is survived by: his children, Ricky Polson (Nicki), Cindy Wheeler (Butch), Erick Long (Shanna), Tim Long (Georgia), Sherry Polson (David), Jeannette Edwards (Cody) and Diane Green (Tyson); and also R. L. Cope. He is also survived by 21 Grandchildren; 61 Great Grand-Children.
