He is survived by: his wife Grace South; and his children, Gary Richard Carter (Karen), Kayla Robinson (Jeff), Brian John Carter (Rose) and Debra Rae Carter King (Mark).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints General Missionary Fund.
