She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Maples and Betha Aycock Maples; and her siblings, Rachel Maples, Ollie Jones, Bettie Chestnutwood, Hyrum Maples and Henry Maples.
She is survived by: her husband Jesse Odell Smith; her children, Kenneth Smith (Wendy), Carla Hamblin (Merlin), Denice Smith, Teresa Smith, Claude Smith (Laura), Shawn Smith (Linda) and Kayleen Billman (William); and her sisters, Shirley Olsen, Ruby Haws and Dorothy Schvaneveldt.
