He was predeceased by: his wife Sherry Drake; his mother Katherine Drake; and his brother Anthony "Tony" Long. He is survived by: his son Douglas "DJ" Long Jr.; his sisters, Bertha Elliott, Delores Hill and Ada Gillis; and his grandchildren, Marquis Asani and Nua'Mayah. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
