He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Buell and Elouise Buell; his sister Charlene Hansen; his daughter JoAnna Susan; and his granddaughters, Arianna and Evelyn Gilbert.

He is survived by: his wife LeeAnn; his children, Jennifer Gilbert (Michael) of Clinton, Missouri, Erin Kobe (Trevor) of Peterson, Utah, Amy Buell Beck (Nicolas) of Plano, Texas, Brian Buell (Julia) of Layton and Eric Buell (Megan); and his siblings, Wayne Buell (Kathy), Luanne Buell of Heber City, Utah, Nina Gardner, Elaine Atkinson and Lynette Binggeli.
