He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Alfred Carey and Helen Genevieve Grosvenor Carey; his wife Karen; his son Captain Paul Edwin Carey (Michelle); and his grandsons, Roy Suarez Carey and Ethan Clinton Rapp.
He is survived by: his sister Diane Robinson (Wally); and his children, Scott (Sue), Janice Greenhalgh (Phillip), Brent (Teresa), Mark and Christine Carey Fazulyanov. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Primary Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
