He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Ray Jackson and Lillie Mae Brock; and his siblings, Pat Elizabeth Jackson (Patricia) and Gordon Lee Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Margery Ann Nail; his children, Martin Ray Jackson, Julie Anne Bodtcher (Randy), Shelley Marie Terry (Stephen), Steven Lee Jackson (Cheryl), Alan Jackson (Tish) and Mike Jackson (Laurie); and his brother Robert Carson Jackson (Nita). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren.
