He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Lynn Kofoed (Ken), Jim Ward (Jan), Carol Caughey and Jennifer Worlton (Brent); his wife Joan Wheadon; his children, Brooke Moon (Jae), Wendy Wyner (Marcus), Shannon, Joanie, Zak Ward, Erika Wheadon and Jessica Copier (Casey); his aunt Dora; his pet Chip; his parents, Bill and Bunny; and his in-laws, Norma, Dell Wheadon, Gene Wheadon, Doug (Vienna), Dave Wheadon, Darrell Cox and Skip Criner (Callie Perkins).
Viewing was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the LDS Meeting House (9894 S 2700 W, South Jordan, UT 84095). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the South Jordan City Cemetery (10630 S 1055 W, South Jordan, UT 84095).
Sheldon battled Parkinson's for over 20 years and never once complained about the trial he was given.
