He was predeceased by: his father Richard L Carter Sr.; and his stepfather Glen. He is survived by: his mother Diana Matthews Carter; his siblings, Tina Beal (Kevin) and Dan Carter (Lori); his half-brother Timothy Carter; his children, Wyatt Carter (Bre), Garrett Carter and Cheyanne Sorenson (Stran); his grandchildren, Tesslynn, Quincy and Emmitt; and his close friend Kris Canham.
