She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leslie Herman Pate and Phyllis Loretta Hoeffler; her brother Eugene Leslie Pate; her husband Gary Howard; her children, Adam S. (Shannon), Kathy (Todd), Gary (Nicky), Andrew and Matt; and her great grandchildren, Brianna Lynn (James), Talon, Jackson, Cason, Aiden, Abby, Euan, Severan and Wyatt. She was also cherished by her husband of fifty-five years, the five children she raised, eight grandkids she cherished and one great grandson.
