BRIAN WISE wrote a sympathy message

“In the past couple of years, he sent me his famous Utah picture with the footballs from the newspaper. I always loved that pic and we joked about it over a few calls and how I would need it signed to put up on my office wall alongside my Utah and Snow College playing days paraphernalia. We laughed and teased about our glory days, although decades apart. (4)”

BRIAN WISE wrote a sympathy message

“I was treated like I was family and a friendship was born that lasted all these years later. My father, also a police officer here in Canada was so grateful for the hospitality, he and Joe exchanged letters and became long distance friends as well. When I too wanted to become a police officer, I sought Joe’s guidance and he was there with words of wisdom. (3)”

BRIAN WISE wrote a sympathy message

“The news was sad, but what was hard and strange was that just a few days ago I thought of Mr. Borich and wondered how he’s been managing these days. The thought didn’t leave and then I received the text. During my first year of football at Snow College and 2,500 miles away from home on the east coast of Canada, a buddy of mine Mike Borich, invited a 19-year old Canadian kid to spend Thanksgiving with his family. BRIAN WISE wrote a sympathy message

“I received a text here in Canada a few days ago from an old teammate from Snow College asking if I had heard about the passing of “Mr. Borich,” as I always called him. That text that day crushed me. “Mr. Borich” was just one of those people that comes into your life and makes a difference forever. There are people that make a difference and are mentors throughout your entire life and he was one of those people to me. (1)”
