Jay Hammond Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Hammond in South Jordan, Utah, born in Rigby, Idaho, who passed away on February 7, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irus Benjamin and Lila; his dear Kona; his siblings, Calvin, Wayne Hammond and Helen Butikofer; his granddaughter Jayme Alsup Ellis; and his great grandchild Jeff.
He is survived by: his children, Doug (Marilyn Hill Hammond), Bruce (Jean Ahlstrom Hammond), Dana (Bart Wise) and Jalyn Hammond (Larry Maxwell); his sister Trudy Potter; and his brother-in-law Reed Butikofer. He is also survived by his six children and our spouses, 29 grandchildren, and 72 great-grandchildren.
