He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle McCandless Heinecke; his wife Jean Heinecke; and his father Edward McCandless. He is survived by: his children, Mathew Heinecke of Charlotte, NC, Walter Heinecke and Erica Heinecke; his stepsons, Rick Nielsen and Keven Nielsen; his grandchildren, Ciara Nielsen, Brett Nielsen, Anais Heinecke, Monika Heinecke, Jade Anderson, Azure Anderson and Skai Heinecke; and his sister Nancy Durkee of Oakland, CA.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel (1007 S Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, UT 84095).
This led to the creation of "Tee It Up for Tennis," a clever charity that combined his love for golf with an opportunity for underprivileged kids to get on the tennis court.
