He was predeceased by: his parents, Hendricus Van and Maria Otto; his son Robert Vandenberg; and his sisters, Johanna Bullock and Corrie Wiltfong.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Westerman; his children, David Vandenberg (Denise) of West Jordan, Karen Davis (Jeff) of Herriman, Matthew Vandenberg (Nicole) of Riverton and Jonathan Vandenberg (Natalie) of Herriman; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler, Grace, Jack, Adelaide and Sloan; and his siblings, Geerdina Hardman (Kenneth) and Walt Vandenberg (Karen).
