He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Elizabeth Salm and Curtis John Butts; his former wife Patricia Labrum; his child Kemy; and his stepchildren, Shari Larkin (Dan) and Brent Lund.
He is survived by: his children, Pyper (Dennis), D. Paul (Laurel), Doug (Johanna), Desmond (Crissy), Sterling (Georgina) and Jamille Johnson (Jeff); his stepchildren, Brad Eggertsen (Kay), Ryan Eggertsen (Suzan), Julie Eggertsen, Jennifer Cunningham (Tim) and Jackie Gabler (Glen); and his wife Patsy Davie.
