He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gilchrist and Velda Gilchrist; his grandson Taylor Gilchrist; and his siblings, Don Gilchrist, Jane Blankenstein and Linda Bamas.
He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Cathy Colledge, John (Marcia), Michelle Austin, Rick (LeAnn), Lisa Green (Jeff), Julie and Allyson Berg (Larry); and his brother Glen Gilchrist (Patty). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
