He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Albert and Reola Holt Newbold of South Jordan, Utah.; his grandson Bryson; his brother Dennis; his parents-in-law, Helen and Earl Beckstead; his siblings-in-law, Jean Bateman, Nile Beckstead, Glen Bateman and Hank Ashby; and his aunt Mame.
He is survived by: his wife Ardith; his children, Jim (Angela), Julie, Brenda (Amos) and Staci (Joe); his grandchildren, Dalton, Jaxon, Abbi, Samuel and Keven; his brother Richard (Jan); and his sisters-in-law, Deanna Newbold Naylor (Gerald), Coleen Ashby and Ruth Hooper (Richard).

Bruce fought so hard to stay ahead of the effects of Parkinson's disease. He joined the Rock Steady Boxing group three years ago that is specifically geared for people with Parkinson's.
