He was predeceased by: his parents, William Welte and Hazel Welte; his child Leslee Welte; and his grandsons, Mathew Capson and Austin Welte Dallas Welte.
He is survived by: his brother Claron Lamar; his wife Colleen; his children, Sherry Cope (Clint), Cory Lee and William Terry Welte; and his grandchildren, Tonja Capson, Taysha Rafferty, Brandon Welte, Danielle Martin (Josh), Andria Welte, Mayor (late Casey) and Daniel Welte. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Starks Funeral Home (3651 S 900 E, Millcreek, UT 84106). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (1342 E 500 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84102).
