He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvan Bodily and Althea Elmina Rasmussen Bodily; his son Nyal Clair; and his siblings, Barbara and Ted.

He is survived by: his sons, Rand Sylvan, Ryan Hanks and Jared Ivan; his wife Darlene; his daughter-in-law Katie; and his siblings, Faun Day and Arlyn Bodily. He is also survived by his seven grandsons and five granddaughters.
