He was predeceased by: his parents, Lu A. Erkelens and Lt Colonel Mitchell Erkelens; and his mother-in-law Nina Mason. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Peter Erkelens (Tenasha), Jeanie Brady (Ryan), Skye Erkelens (Fred Mashtare), John Erkelens, Erin Hansen (Neel), Ashley Erkelens and Daniel Erkelens; and his siblings, Bonna Bugby (Garn), Tina Welles (Scott) and Robert Erkelens.
