He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Gibbons (Ryan), Julie Piotter (Scott) and Mindie Gibbons (Scott); his spouse Robin Baum (Scribner); his stepchildren, Dawn Johnstun (Shawn) and Nick Carter (Katie); his brother Dennis Baum; his grandchildren, Brandon (Emily), Tyler (Jill), Brooke (Trevor), Makenna, Kara (Gage), Brenden, Hannah, Cali, Sidney, Max, Lily, Tesha (Mario), Shelby (Giannina), Ashley (Dillon), Nicole and Marnie; and his great grandchildren, Mia, Reddik, Teddy, Jack, Sloan, Josie, Penny, Everett, Gabriel, Wyatt and Sky. He is also survived by his family and friends.
It was only after the effects of COVID-19 in 2020 that he needed to transition to an assisted living facility.
