In the sacred silence of farewell, Carolyn Sue is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey E. Gibbons and Mildred Shields Gibbons; her brother Ralph; her husband Desmond Leonard Shields; and her cousin MaryAnn Gulbranson (Sue).
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Ralph Shields (Wendy) and Debbie Olsen. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Larkin Mortuary (1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84092).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a children's charity to honor Sue's years of teaching.
