He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Ekstrom and Blenda Ekstrom; his siblings, Burke, Evan, Virgil Ekstrom, Laurine Kingston and Rowena Erickson; his son Jared Ekstrom; and his grandchildren, Hope Ekstrom and Brennan Rennert.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Italasano; his children, Craig (Leisha), Rodney (Jody), Adrienne (David Nelson), Erica (Aaron Rennert) and Gavin (Amber); and his siblings, Alton Ekstrom and Sheila Burns. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren.
