With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Russon Baird (Salt Lake City, Utah), who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Alene Russon Lanphere; his stepfather Forrest "Buck" Edward Lanphere; his father-in-law Jay B. Horrocks; and his brothers, Marshall David and Merrill Frederick Baird.
He is survived by: his father Merritt Marshall "Samm" Baird; his brother Charlie (Babs Baird); his wife Susan Horrocks; his children, Jonathan (Melissa Baird), Melissa (Kelton Busby), Jeffrey (Heather Baird), Megan (Trevor Gasser) and Travis Baird; his grandchildren, Bailey, Chase, Logan, Aspen, Creede, Ty, Delilah, Rye, Rylee, London, Kai, Elliston and Jude; and his great grandchild Ryker.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Olympus 2nd Ward (3070 E Nila Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84124). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery (3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121).
