He is survived by: the mother of his children JoAnn Murphy; his children, Shawn Murphy (Jana), Carrie Kikuchi (Kara), Kellie North and Christopher Murphy (Waruni); and his siblings, Ken Murphy (Carolyn), Jean Hughes (Tom) and Tim Murphy. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren.

Stephen struggled bravely with a decades-long battle with Parkinson's disease.
