He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Johnson Runyan and Josephine Bingham Runyan; his son Paul; and his sister Joyce. He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Roberta), Stephen (Dana) and Kenneth (Sue); and his wife Janet. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
