With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Glen Sumsion (Salt Lake City, Utah), who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Willis and Clara Johnson Sumsion; his brothers, Robert and Owen; and his son-in-law Tom Aston.
He is survived by: his wife LaPrele; and his children, Diane Aston, Linda Siebenhaar (Dennis), Daniel Glen Sumsion (Kristi), Marcie Clark (Stuart) and Mark Richard Sumsion (Stacy). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Canyon RIM 1st Ward (3000 S Grace St, Salt Lake City, UT 84109). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Historic Springville City Cemetery (400 S 200 W St, Springville, UT 84663).
