With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kelvin Glade Peterson (Salt Lake City, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Glade Peterson and Mardean Peterson; and his former wife Sandra Urzua. He is survived by: his wife Liqin Qiu; his daughter Daniela Jex (Erik Jex); his grandsons, Matthew Jex and Michael Jex; his sisters, Leslie Peterson (Kevin Higgins) and Michelle Peterson (Richard Scott); his nieces and nephews, Courtney Higgins (Dan Hasleton), Christopher Adams, Emily Higgins, Sarah Scott and Sam Scott; and his former wife Robin Brown.

“Love you my brother. Long time ago I convinced Kelvin to call in sick from Eastern Airlines and go play golf with me. We'll, as luck would have it a guy in our group made a hole in one. In those days everyone in a hole on one group gets named in the Salt Lake Tribune. So the first time Kelvin ever calls in sick at work and plays golf he gets his name in the paper. We laughed about that every time we met. I'm glad we were friends for all those years. He will be missed.”
