She was predeceased by: her parents, John Van and Itha Stevens Rowley; and her husband William "Bill" Robert Powell. She is survived by: her daughters, Stacie Powell, Linda Ahlander (Brent) and Julie Gunnerson (Marty); and her siblings, Merrill Rowley (Carole), Sharon Williams and Ralph Rowley (Leola).

“I'm so sorry to hear about Kay's passing I just loved your mom she was something else!! I so enjoyed her as a patient and then an employee and then a patient again. I hope I have as much energy and spunk as she did when I'm her age! I will certainly miss her! I'm sorry I won't be able to attend her viewing I will be thinking of you all!”
