He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Ross Johnson (Rae) and Edith Beath Johnson; and his siblings, Joyce Davies, Dean Johnson, Layne Johnson (Barbara) and Susan Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol M. Olsen; his daughters, Carey Desmarais (Jason) and Stacy Macaulay; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Lexi, Carson, Aidan, Sidney and Bree. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
