He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Pringle Stone and Eunice Caldwell Stone; his wife Lynda Stone; his sister JoAnn Dockery; and his granddaughter Tayla Pace.

He is survived by: his children, Vance H. Stone (Xanitippi L. Stone) and Kimberly L. Pace; and his siblings, Larry Stone, John Stone and Patty Vibaum. He is also survived by four granddaughters, two grandsons, and eight great granddaughters.
