He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Hatch Tolman and Donna Boulter Tolman; and his daughter Kristine Bott. He is survived by: his wife Hazel; his brothers, Cleon, Max and Gale; his children, Kathleen Reed (Rex) and Michael Tolman (Darla); and his son-in-law Robert Bott. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
