He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sybrand Elzinga and Joyce Clark Elzinga; his siblings, Susan, Elona Joy, Terry Ann and Alma Clark; and his son Steven.

He is survived by: his wife Lorie. He is also survived by numerous children; his nieces, and nephews; and many grand and great-grandchildren.
